Digitalizing the world of logistics

In today's globalized world, air freight impacts every aspect of daily life. From new technologies, exotic foods and spices, to the latest fashion trends, air freight makes it all possible. However, the air cargo market is far behind the passenger booking experience. Cargo capacity is still sold and booked via email and telephone...

We want to beam the air cargo industry into the 21st century. So we decided to build a company, from the ground up, that would reinvent the way airlines and freight forwarders interact.

Just one year after our founding, we have proven that the industry is more than ready for this change. We have attracted leading airlines and freight forwarders such as Lufthansa, Finnair, Dachser, Hermes, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, and nearly 300 more. With top-tier investors Creandum and Point Nine Capital on board, we are only getting started.

We need you to help us shape the future of air freight! At cargo.one we believe that we can only win as a team, and we want you to make an impact with cargo.one.

What's the opportunity?

After winning over 150 freight forwarders as customers in Germany and signing Finnair Cargo as our new partner airline, cargo.one is expanding to the Nordics.

We’re looking for a highly driven Entrepreneur-in-Residence to own and spearhead our expansion efforts in the region, winning Nordic forwarders as customers and building strong relationships with them. You will be based in Berlin and regularly visit key Nordic hubs to talk to and learn from customers.

This role is the opportunity to drive the demand side of our booking platform and to be exposed to an ever-changing, yet traditional industry and its leaders.

What will I be doing?

  • You will work with a high level of autonomy alongside the founders and the business development team on the demand side of our marketplace.

  • Grow cargo.one’s footprint in the Nordics, winning new customers and expanding their accounts.

  • Define and execute new growth strategies, processes and materials to effectively showcase cargo.one.

  • Build relationships with our Nordic customers and maintain high levels of customer engagement and satisfaction.

  • Travel and meet with customers onsite to discover and understand their workflows and needs.

  • Track and report key metrics related to revenue, customer retention, and product usage in the Nordics.

  • Gather customer feedback and work cross-functionally to inform our product strategy and roadmap.

What skills do I need?

  • You take the initiative and thrive working autonomously, with minimal supervision.

  • Fast-paced and result-oriented work environments, like VC-backed start-ups, consulting or investment banking, are familiar to you, and you have gained some first-hand work experience.

  • You are willing to roll up your sleeves and do what needs to be done.

  • Breaking complex problems into smaller ones comes naturally to you, and you enjoy working with data.

  • You are able to make a good business case and know the people to convince to help you execute it.

  • High attention to detail and a passion for accuracy are part of your DNA.

  • Curiosity and motivation to make an impact are what drive you.

  • Fluent in at least one Nordic language (Danish, Finnish, Norwegian or Swedish). Plus our working language is English.

  • Bonus points if you have experience working with SaaS or freight forwarding companies.

What I can expect from cargo.one

  • Joining a dynamic, ambitious and international team, working together with and learning from experienced entrepreneurs.

  • A competitive compensation package and plenty of room for career progression.

  • Monthly BVG (Berlin public transport) ticket.

  • A fridge always stocked with snacks, plus everything you need for a healthy, energizing breakfast!
