Etihad has expanded its frequency of flights from Italy to AUH.

Etihad Cargo's passenger freighter network is serving additional routes between AUH and MEL, MAA, COK, KHI, AMS.

In addition additional special passenger flights from AUH to BRU, DUB, LHR, NRT, ZRH have been announced by the airline.

MARCH 26

Etihad will introduce a “mini freighter” schedule, using primarily 787-1000 aircraft to enhance the existing Boeing 777f freighter fleet.

Freigthers are currently leaving Ex-FRA, Ex-AMS and Ex-CDG to destinations like HKG and PVG.

The mini freighter network will introduce capacity to destinations like DEL, BOM, DEL, MNL, SIN and CGK.

MARCH 25

The UAE’s National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, and the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), have brought forward their directive to suspend all inbound, outbound, and transit passenger flights in the UAE to today.

Effective from 11.59pm on Wednesday 25 March, at the directive of the Government of the UAE, Etihad Airways will suspend all flights to, from and via Abu Dhabi for an initial period of 14 days.

Cargo and emergency evacuation flights are exempt from this suspension and will continue.

Due to decreasing passenger demand, Finnair will not operate with wide body fleet on LHR route starting from Monday, 23 March. Last wide body flight is AY1331/1332 on 22 March.Finnair GSAs are requested to stop all shipments booked to LHR requiring wide body due to dimensions.

As of 1 April, Finnair operates the routes listed below, with a limited number of weekly frequencies, provided that there are no additional travel restrictions set by the authorities. All flights on other routes are cancelled.

Freighter connections

Lufthansa Cargo's freighters are basically operating on schedule worldwide, including the USA.

Lufthansa Group passenger airlines will continue to fly to the USA: Chicago, Newark and Washington will remain in the programme, and a special flight schedule will be drawn up shortly. In addition, all other passenger flights to and from the United States will be suspended until further notice due to U.S. administration restrictions, including all departures from Munich, Düsseldorf and Geneva. The Lufthansa Group will continue to fly to all destinations in Canada until further notice.

AF/KLM Martinair Cargo network is now proportional expanding after a long and uncertain period in which the Covid-19 virus brought the world to a complete stand still. The latest reopened destinations are SIN, BOS, HTDA, JRO, BKK, PTY and SXM operated by AF from CDG, operated by KLM from AMS.Additional frequencies can be found on many long haul destinations such as JFK, MEX, GRU, CKY, NKC, BGF, NBO, PVG and NRT, departing from CDG.

Delta Air Lines will resume flights between the US and China this week, making it first US carrier to do so since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, as travel restrictions and regulatory sparring between the countries’ aviation authorities ease.

The Atlanta-based airline says on 22 June that its weekly flights between Seattle and Shanghai via Seoul will begin this week. In July, it will reinstate weekly flights to Shanghai from Detroit. The routes will be serviced with the airline’s Airbus A350-900s.

SWISS plans to expand its services with the June timetable, in line with the respective entry requirements. They plan to resume around 15-20% of their original services. SWISS plans to operate approximately 140 weekly flights from Zurich to 30 destinations in Europe, and approximately 40 weekly flights from Geneva to 14 destinations in Europe. The airline will still serve the three weekly long-haul flights to Newark in the USA, further intercontinental destinations will be added in June. In addition, SWISS and its Swiss WorldCargo division will continue to operate their cargo-only flights to various destinations globally.
