What aspect of your job do you love most or find most rewarding?

Oh, this has to be the dynamic nature of logistics. Every day presents new challenges and opportunities, and I thrive on the constant problem-solving required to find the best solutions. It's incredibly fulfilling to be able to provide efficient and effective logistical support, whether it's optimizing routes, coordinating shipments, or resolving unexpected issues.

What truly makes logistics captivating for me is the international aspect. Engaging with people from diverse cultures, navigating through different regulations, and understanding the intricacies of global trade adds a fascinating layer to my daily work.

What are the most important skills needed to succeed in freight forwarding?

To excel in freight forwarding, a combination of skills is crucial. Firstly, agility and adaptability are paramount in this fast-paced industry where changes can occur rapidly. Being able to pivot and adjust to various situations ensures smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

Moreover, staying technologically up-to-date is now more vital than ever. Proficiency in using technological tools is essential for optimizing processes and enhancing efficiency. Additionally, strong communication and interpersonal skills are indispensable for effective collaboration with clients, suppliers, and team members across diverse cultures and backgrounds. Clear and concise communication ensures that everyone is on the same page, leading to successful outcomes.

My advice would be to trust your vision, and embrace brave decision-making.

I would also advise about the importance of early investment in technology. While I'm proud of our journey and market position at MyCargoGate Group, taking bolder steps and investing in technology even earlier could have propelled us even further. In the dynamic world of logistics, where innovation and efficiency are key, being at the forefront of tech advancements can provide a significant competitive edge. By seizing opportunities and being unafraid to take calculated risks, we could have accelerated our growth and expanded our reach even more rapidly.

As a freight forwarder, it's essential to acknowledge the successes and lessons learned along the way. Each decision, whether bold or cautious, has contributed to our growth and success. Above all, my advice would be to continue believing in your potential and the journey ahead, knowing that every step, no matter how small, contributes to your evolution and success.

What's your favorite object on your desk?

 (*Laughs*) Well, I would love to say it's a picture of my family, but the truth is that I have a very minimalistic desk where only my laptop and a few screens fit. With it, I can connect with colleagues, collaborate on projects, access valuable resources, and more.
